Join our Super Jeep tour and begin the adventure with a visit to a mesmerizing frozen glacial lagoon, hidden beneath Heinabergsjökull. This remote and ever-changing landscape is truly breathtaking. There is a big herd of reindeer that we are often so lucky to see on our way to the lagoon.

From the glacial lagoon, we continue our journey towards the coast and drive along the dramatic black sand beaches. Here, we explore the ruins of the area’s first local airport.

We then make our way to one of Iceland’s toughest and most impressive harbour entrances at Höfn, where curious seals often surface to watch us as we take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Throughout the tour, an experienced driver-guide shares fascinating stories and insights about the glaciers, icefields, the old airport, the harbour entrance, and how these powerful natural forces have shaped both the landscape and the local environment.

Meeting point

The meeting point is at our base camp, which is located just by Hotel Smyrlabjörg, 46 km west from the town of Höfn and 34 km east from Jökulsárlón.

We kindly ask you to be at the meeting point on time, and we recommend arriving 30 min before the scheduled departure time.
Unfortunately we can not wait for late arrivals and hence, arriving late will result in an automatic cancellation of the booking and a full forfeiture of the booking fee.
